I purchased a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 32 GB. There was no documentation of the problem or reason it was classed as refurbished. Because its performance and appearance have been excellent I have not tried to find out why it was refurbed. My understanding that certified Geek Squad products come with a 1 year warranty from Geek Squad. I have had the tablet for two weeks. The tablet is covered by Samsung's warranty. I have registered it with Samsung. The following is the warranty information from their site for my tablet. TABLET WARRANTY INFORMATION For the latest version of the COMMON TABLET Warranty documentation go to: English: www.samsung.com/us/Legal/Tablet-HSGuide or Spanish: www.samsung.com/us/Legal/Tablet-HSGuide-SP. [090214] STANDARD LIMITED WARRANTY What is covered and for how long? The warranty period commences upon the date of purchase by the first consumer purchaser and continuing for the following specified period of time after that date: Tablet 1 Year Battery(ies)* (Including Internal Batteries) 1 Year Other Accessories* 1 Year
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In general no. You will not have any documentation indicating your device's history. From my experience with many refurbished products you will not know if it was returned because of a fault or just unwanted. But generally a refurb comes with a full or partial warranty, and the full return period of the retailer so the overall risk is minimal. Obviously every sale is different so check the terms before you buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not that i know of. You won't know. After repairs it is run through a series of tests to insure it works. That's all i know.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are no differences, but when you purchase from Geek Squad Certified item, you know they are not brand new. Sometime they do have some minor defects (my has some small scrashes on the screen, but after put on screen protector, I can't see them any more). Geek Squad does not tell you what was replaced and what went wrong with reburbished product, but I do think they did their best to ensure the product is in good working condition and up to manufature standard. New VS Refurbished, this is mostly personal preference and your budget, Since you are purchase refurbished item, I would suggest you to purchase their protection plan (just incase) if anything goes wrong you are still covered.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I honestly could not tell that the item was refurbished with the exception of the box that it was packaged in vs. the original box.
