QuestionI have the HW-A40R with wireless rear speakers, but the rear speakers produce no sound. The rear speaker hub is light solid blue, but no sound from the speakers. What am I doing wrong?

- Answer Hi! You can try the following steps to improve the volume of the rear speakers: 1) Download and install the latest firmware version found at the following link: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/?model=N0054850 ver. HMS-A4X0WWB-1014 2) Once installed, with the Soundbar on, press and hold the STANDARD button on the remote control for about 6 seconds 3) The LEDs will blink to indicate you are in adjustment mode 4) Use the BASS Up/Down buttons to adjust the level of the REAR speakers between -6 to +6. 5) The adjustment mode will exit if the surround button is pressed, or if no button is pressed for 10 seconds. ^Andrew

- Answer Hi GR! The HW-A40R does not feature an HDMI connection. You can utilize Digital Optical Audio or Bluetooth audio technology to connect to your TV. ^Tim

QuestionHello, Can you use just the sound bar without setting up other speakers, we're looking for smaller width sound bar just to help with tv sound. Most are over 30 inches wide. This one says 25?

- Answer Hi Eddie! Yes, you can choose to not pair the rear speakers and enjoy the sound quality from the soundbar alone. Should you wish to setup the rear speakers at a future date, you can manually pair them to the soundbar. ^Tim

- Answer They say you can mix and match name brands, but for the best quality you want to keep LG tv’s with LG soundbars and the same with Samsung because they just sync better with their own brands.

Earlier today I was experiencing issues with samsung.com myself, but now everything seems to be working fine. The link https://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/?model=N0054850 is the place to for the full manual and all firmware updates. If you need extra assistance with updating your soundbar, please contact Samsung Customer Service. The two best options for contacting Customer Service are 1) 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, 7 days a week. Ask for "Soundbars." 2) LiveChat with an agent by clicking the ‘Support’ link on the Samsung website homepage. ^Andrew

- Answer It is Bluetooth however it has the power wire from the soundbar going to an outlet the only other wires are the speaker wires going from the rear left and right speaker to the box and the power cord from the box to the outlet. so in total 2 power wires and 2 speaker wires.
