Soundbars are very hard to setup, I don't care what others say lol. I used the HDMI cable, but now I recently found out if you want it to work with the TV remove (meaning the tv will control volume, and on/off of the soundbar) use the higher end HDMI cable, they call them hi-speed cables are something like that. You can get them anywhere you want, I think just as long as it's labeled for ARCH, hi-speed or ARCHe or something like that. If that doesn't work, usually the TOSLINK optical cable works. Remember you also have to set the TV to output to the correct port and have the soundbar on the correct source. On my Samsung TV, there are digital settings. I had no sound on live TV, but everything else worked. There is a digital setting, like Passthrough, Dolby, Bitstream and wow it fixed the problem. They can be really complicated. I think the newer the soundbar and newer the TV really helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.James, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The Samsung C450 does not have SmartThing capabilities, if you are looking for a Soundbar that connect to Smarthings I recommend the HW-Q700C and higher or the HW-S60B or higher. ~ Samsung Solutions
