The camera has a set of microphones, but the sound quality is very poor. I spent a while with Samsung trying to troubleshoot it, used multiple computers and teleconference apps, connected it directly to the computer via USB, and compared it side by side with another external webcam mic. This one was the absolute worst. Returned the monitor because I bought this to clean up my setup and not have external speakers/mic/webcam.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The camera works with 4 apps they give you. The microphone and camera connect to the monitor, not the PC. :(. I was able to remove the camera and plug it into my surface to see if it would work. It does but it is pretty useless as "dedicated" to the monitor. Unless you want Samsung's 4 apps. FYI: I have 7 Samsung TVs including another Smart Monitor. I would buy it for the camera agan.
