A:AnswerSATA 3 M.2. Sandisk X400 M.2 and Samsung 850 EVO M.2 are a great choice.
Nvme drives are about twice the price. They would most likely work with this laptop but you would see no performance gain as the limitation here is the sata 3 interface.
These are blazing fast laptops for what they are made for, basically anything but hi level games.
A:AnswerAs I recall; It is located under the long ribbon cable spanning / connecting to the motherboard on the left side (?). You cannot see it unless you gently disconnect this ribbon cable.
The M.2 slot / plugs into, is right underneath where you disconnected the cable. You can also see that this area is relatively empty compared the motherboard and I/O cards. This area is where your M.2 Sata III ssd will live.
A:AnswerI've had ZERO issues connecting with xfinity wifi at home and public wifi at various locations. I returned an ASUS for numerous problems that had been repaired 3x and after the last repair could not stay connected to wifi. Since I got the Samsung 7 2-in-1, the difference is like night and day. Fast downloads and no issues connecting at all.

A:AnswerIf you are going to replace the drive is would upgrade to the SSD because of the performance increase. I would recommend for you situation, you consider an external drive, then you could expand as much as you need.
