QuestionHow does this laptop perform for Architecture programs? Like working with AutoCAD, 3D Max, and with the occasional Photoshop image editing and InDesign work? I'm a big fan of convertibles for their pens and I want to get something that helps with my work.

- Answer It’s not ideal for 3D work because it only has a dual core processor. The Lenovo Yoga 720 is in the same ballpark and much faster.

- Answer No, last year's notebook 9 pro had those specs. The 2017 notebook 9 pro has a 15 inch 1080p screen with an S Pen (Wacom EMR tech). It is confusing and Samsung really should not have used the same name for such a completely different laptop. But they did and this listing is correct.

- Answer there are 2 fans inside they are not loud but macine has a fan silence control . the battery is ok for a machine this size with the screen at 60 % i get about 6 to 7 hours. very happy with this tab.

QuestionMotherboard support an SSD upgrade to PCIe or NVME?

- Answer I can verify first hand it that it does. I had 512gb sm961 I bought a few months ago because I got a good deal on it. Didn't really need it at the time but since I had it sitting there, I slapped it in and everything was pretty seemless. Bios recognized as NVME, I did a fresh install, and let the Samsung Updater software bring it back to pretty much factory settings minus some of the bloatware. If I remember correctly, crystalmark was 3495 read and 1692 write sequential. The original lite-on sata ssd had a score of around 520 read and 390 write sequential. I haven't tried the Samsung drivers for it yet, but temps are at 29 degrees idle and the speed is there so I'll probably just leave it rather than taking a chance on some OEM drivers I found online.

- Answer I wouldn't buy this if you want to do editing of that caliber. This laptop has a 7th generation U series processor, which is a dual-core CPU that is geared for power efficiency. I think it is slower than the regular i3 HQ series that are present on the full sized clamshell laptops.

QuestionWhat is your average battery life when you try to save juice while in use?

- Answer My unit is averaging 7 to 8 hours of battery life. This is extended up to 10 to 11 hours using low demand applications (screen brightness still at 50-60% though!!). I am not sure what I would average if the device were put into battery saver mode the entire time.

QuestionWhat do you need to buy if you want to upload your photos from your camera sd card to computer? My SD card does not fit any slot.

- Answer You have two choices: 1) Instead of using a SD card in your camera, you can use a micro SD card. Insert the micro SD card into a SD adapter, and then insert the SD adapter into your camera. When you want to upload the photos to your computer, remove the SD adapter from your camera, and then remove the micro SD card from the SD adapter. insert the micro SD card into the corresponding slot on your computer. This computer comes with a micro SD slot, but not a full-size SD slot. (When you purchase a micro SD card, it comes with a full-size SD adapter.) 2) Purchase a USB SD card reader. Insert the SD card reader into a USB port on your computer, and then insert the SD card into the card reader. Then you will be able to upload your photos.
