QuestionHow do I make wifi work on this?I just bought this, but I'm starting to get worried. As I look through the specifications it says that this blu ray player is not wifi ready. It says that it is smart capable, and because of this, I thought it would come ready to stream movies right out of the box. Do I need a wireless adapter to make it work? Does the adapter have to be made by Samsung?

- Answer The BD-E5300 can be used with a wired connection only. You may want to see if your retailer might work with you to get a product that fits your needs better. If you just purchased it, you may be able to return it and get something that makes you happy. --Mr.Samsung

- Answer Refurbished, open box or returned units may have a different warranty than a product that was sold new in the box. We recommend contacting the retailer directly to find out more details on any given products prior to purchase. As to why the product is refurbished, sometimes it was returned from a customer who was either unable to operate the machine, decided they didn't want it or had a possible malfunction that was checked and fixed from an authorized repair process. - Answer Without being able to access the individual unit in question, it's difficult to determine what the firmware might be - once they leave our factory, they have the latest version available at that time. The good news is that when you connect it to the Internet or your network, it will update to the latest available firmware. It's a very simple process, and is equivalent to what a new product would also have. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. Samsung

- Answer You can, provided the Blu-Ray player has a composite or component output. With the BD-E5300, this model does not have composite or component outputs (only HDMI), so this would not be ideal for a SD (standard definition) television. Some Samsung 2012 Home Theater systems will have composite outputs, but this model of Blu-Ray player does not. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr.Samsung

- Answer This player supports "Open", "All" or "Region 1" for DVDs, or "Open", "All" and "Region A" for Blu-Ray discs. Other regions are designed to not work in this player, as the regions are set by the copyright holder or content owner. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr.Samsung

QuestionWhat file systems are supported via the USB connection?If I hook up an external USB hard drive with video files on it, what file systems are supported? Specifically, is NTFS supported?

- Answer MrSamsung, please try again. Assuming I have a compatible device, it can still be formatted with one of MANY different file systems (i.e. - FAT, FAT32, NTFS, HPFS, etc...). I asked the initial question because I have seen many complaints about Sony products supporting only the FAT32 file system, thus limiting the file size to ~4 GB. With the size of digital media these days, that is insufficient. Hence, I'm trying to figure out if the NTFS file system is readable by this device...thus overcoming the 4GB file size limit.
