QuestionWhat's the operating distance this needs to be all items you wish to control via the hub? Can you use multiple hubs to cover a larger area?

- Answer The communication technology (Z-Wave, Zigbee) allows the signals to be relayed from one device to the next. You will never need more than one hub. I have a large home and all of the devices work flawlessly. NOTE: The initial setup of a device will need to be done near the hub, like with 20 feet. Once it is connected to the smart network, it will communicate through all other devices to the hub.

- Answer Smartthings is installed on my phone with my credentials. My wife installed the app on her phone using her own credentials. On my ST app I enabled her, specifying her phone number, to have access. She has full access and can receive push notifications and txt msgs along with me. There may be other ways on how to achieve joint msgs but this worked for me.

- Answer I'm not certain, but I believe I read that it is compatible to Nest devices. It no longer controls MyQ. I understand that MyQ dropped them because of the mass of hits on their servers. I personally don't believe the reason. I think it more than likely is a money issue. However, SmartThings no longer controls MyQ. Hopefully someday it will come back.

- Answer If you have registered your hub with Samsung, created an account and have linked your hub to your account, the online service will notify you via the smartthings app when your home internet connection goes down. It will tell you that it lost connectivity with the hub - and subsequently tell you when it is reconnected ....

- Answer The best suggestion is to use high speed, cable internet from a internet provider because your monthly fee will allow you to have an unlimited amount. The devices that connect to the SmartThing Hub do not need data, they will send a signal to the hub.

- Answer Absolutely and it's easy. Use the Smarthings app, pair the device, for example, a light, and then use the Routines to turn it off and on at specific times automatically. You and your phone do not need to be present. Check the Samsung Smarthings website, look for "Community" and you will find answers to all of your questions.

- Answer Yes it will work. Within the SmartThings app under the marketplace tab go to speakers and you should see Multiroom speakers.

- Answer That should work - but the better answer is a booster / repeater or simple another zwave device of any kind that you can get set of since all devices act like repeaters as well in a mesh style network. Just plop a light switch or outlet in between your dead zone.

- Answer You have to buy two camerias on the list of things the hub has and that is it. But depending on the cameria u get u might nwed another hub that goes with it. If u get zwave u don't need to have another hub.

- Answer It appears that Samsung hasn't set an exact number of allowed devices, as I've heard of people having as many as 200 connected. Though, in the SmartThings community you hear have people running into issues with reliability after more than 100 devices have been connected. Hope this helps.
