It's meant for standard home electronics. Nothing excessive. So if it has the amps of a standard home electronic, you'll be fine. If you are looking for something more heavy duty, like controlling sprinkler pump, water heater, stuff like that, look into the GE smart meter thing that uses Z-wave. I find it around $180 online and it's designed for high draw appliances like pumps and heaters.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Couldn't find any specific specifications on current / load rating. But considering it plugs into a standard 115Volt wall socket and those are for the most part protected by a 15 Amp breaker you should be safe running a device using 12 to 13 amps. or about 1500 Watts Max. If your running a motor type device then you may want to consider a lower amperage load. Motors have a very large startup current for the first second and I don't know how this switch would handle that. Also called inrush or surge current. If your wanting to run something in the 15AMP range ( say on a 20 AMP plug ) then you may want to consider a SmartThings compatible 15 AMP Decora Smart Plug-in Outlet made by Leviton sold at Home Depot https://www.homedepot.com/p/Leviton-15-Amp-Decora-Smart-Plug-in-Outlet-with-Z-Wave-Plus-Technology-White-R51-DZPA1-1RW/301187874
