Hello, I've had this issue before and here is a link that will help you. https://bit.ly/2BYSS3c. You can also place a glass with 8 ounces of vinegar upright into the lower rack and then run a Normal cycle. The piece to the side is called a vent actuator. Thank you. ^SuSu
