Storm Wash is an extra nozzle at the bottom left of the unit to direct another spray for "heavily soiled"pots and pans. This is an option during the wash cycle that can be turned on, not automatic for every cycle. The Linear wash is the model where the nozzle moves back and forth like a car wash instead of being stationary (the bottom nozzle).
