I was skeptical about this whole "door opening thing", too. And I purchased this, expecting to hate it... but I absolutely love this Samsung DW. Since there isn't a heating element, a fan goes on near the end of the washing cycle when the door opens just a bit, allowing the condensation to escape. And no... your kitchen won't get steamy, in fact it's so quiet and minimal you won't even notice (unless you happen to spy it in action). The 3rd top drawer is a wonderful attribute, too. Your silverware will come out sparking every time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The dishwasher has a drying cycle, you have to select it. the door automatically pops open when 10 minutes remain in the cycle. We thought this was odd but then realized it is a more energy efficient way to dry the dishes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The dish washer does have a drying cycle. The door opens to hep with drying
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not crazy about the drying capability and didn't know there was no heating element for drying. If you use plastic container, they don't dry effectively as they cool down too fast for this process to be effective. pots/pans and dishes dry fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The door opens to helpl with the drying cycle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Is this the painted black stainless steel?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great question, Marc! This model does not have a specific drying cycle, however, the Auto Release feature automatically opens the door slightly to help the dishes dry. ^Jecca
