What color is this aluminum strip? If you are referring to the shiny silver aluminum tape - it is meant to attach to the bottom of your counter top to aid in keeping the hot moist air (which escapes during the last 5 minutes of a wash program) from saturating your counter top material. This is mentioned in the Installation Manual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Sue. There is a black rubber flap under the door which is sound insulation and a moisture barrier. It is not made to hang freely under the door. The black rubber piece should be inserted behind the kick plate which is the aluminum strip that you are referring to. It should be sandwiched between the fabric sound insulation and the kick plate.
