Hi Alyce, I thought the same thing when I first used my new dishwasher. However, I push all the buttons and the start button before closing, and if I want to stop the washer I just open the door. It has seemed to work for me. I do find the buttons touchy and easy to get things changed. I love the way the door opens at the end of the washing. Good luck with your new dishwasher.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not tried it, but the installation technician showed me that if you gently pull the door slightly and hold for 3-5 seconds the cycle will pause and the door should unlock.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try adjusting the height of the equipment. We installed ours and adjusted the feet so we have enough space between the counter and the buttons.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The manual listed procedure is to open the door slightly so the dishwasher will stop. Allow a few seconds for the water to quit washing then open the door enough to access the buttons. Not certain why you would want to access the control panel once the cycle is started. If you want to add items then follow the door opening procedure. If you want change the cycle it is necessary to stop and shut off the present cycle then start over.
