A:AnswerI used this with my Windows Computer & it worked well to back up all my files. I also moved all files from an older mechanical hard drive.
"The T5 comes embedded with an intuitive software for PCs and Macs". It also has "USB Type-C to C cable & USB Type-C to A cable" so as long as you have a USB port you should be fine with transferring files.
A:AnswerThe Samsung Portable SSD T5 is NOT a computer, but a storage device. It comes with 3 programs loaded: Samsung portable SSD SW for Android, Samsung Portable SSD_Setup_Mac, and Samsung Portable SSD_Setup_Win.
A:AnswerProbably, but start with an empty one. I use it on my Dish Hopper. Works fine but the Dish(r) software will reformat the drive to proprietary operating system and wipe anything already on the drive. Also, I can only play the recorded items back through the DVR. I have not (yet) found a converter to play recorded movies on other platforms (eg PC).
A:AnswerNo...this is a storage device and cannot be used for increasing system RAM. You might could setup some sort of swap system but that is beyond my ability and would be slow. Better off expanding RAM on motherboard or by a RAM expanding card.

A:AnswerYes, but. you have to reformat it to ExFat. Easy to do but remember it wipes the disk clean. Also, you give up a little speed on both the MAC and the PC. The price of compatibility is performance. But it works.
A:AnswerUSB4 doesn't exist yet on consumer products. As long as your port is a USB Type-C port, it'll work just fine without a dongle. Read and write speeds are actually pretty close to the advertised speed, surprisingly. This is on my 15" 2018 MBP.
