Q: QuestionAre you able to backup multiple devices with a single external drive and if so, will the files be stored separately so that you are able to determine which pc they originated from?

• A:Answer you should be able to create multiple files to store separate backup data or can partition the drive but that is only for actual files not O/S (System files) which would conflict when trying to recover your O/S

• A:Answer The short answer is allot. The long answer is it depends on which format you're shooting. IE: jpeg, tiff, raw, video etc..I guess you could say size matters. As an amateur I don't take the number of photos that a pro will and I don't need to preserve everything. I shoot in Nikon's NEF format which are large files and I still have plenty of space on my drive. If I fill it up I won't have any issues adding another one of these to my collection because it's fast and fits my needs perfectly.

• A:Answer should be fairly easy as long as you know where the photos are stored you can just plug the hard drive in and drag and drop files to the hard drive

• A:Answer You can format this drive and really any drive to whatever file system that you want/need. I have (2) of these, 1 is used as my Playstation 4 external Hard Drive and the Playstation formatted it to EXFAT. The other I have is split into 2 separate partitions (which read like 2 separate devices plugged in). One partition is formatted as NTFS and is used for regular windows docs. The second partition is FAT32 and I use that to back up and play my Wii games.
