I have a UN55HU8550 television, and after adding this kit my TV was updated to be able to do HDR. Based on that info I would believe it will make your TV good for HDR also. also note that while it upgraded my television it did take away a few of the features I did like. as I did like being able to use the display button on the old remote to get info on the current picture on screen.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the SEK-3500U (upconverts from HCP 1.4 to HDCP 2.2) evolution kit will upscale it to 4K. I don't know if you are using a A/V Receiver or connecting the Blu-Ray Player directly to TV. In my case, I was using a Bose 535 LifeStyle and it would not up convert the Blu-Ray discs to a higher resolution. Now, I have rewired all my devices like PS4, XBOX-OneX to connect directly to TV and run a Optical cable from the SEK evolution kit back to the Bose lifestyle system. Make sure that you change the video output to 4k or automatic on all devices.
