Q: QuestionDoes anyone know the difference between this adapter and the adapter called (2018 Laundry) model #HD2018GH ?

• A:Answer Doug, I was on the phone with Samsung about this last week. The HD2018GH is supposedly the model released in March 2018, but I can't find it ANYWHERE. I see ONE online retailer. I don't know what's going on and I'm frustrated since i just bought a new Samsung washer and dryer that specifically for this type of features.

• A:Answer Yes you will need an adapter for each appliance. They work great with the smart home app, allowing you to monitor the laundry process from your smart phone. Others have indicated that you can only monitor but it must depend on the appliance model because I can start and stop both Samsung washer and dryer using my smart phone. However, setup can be a little tricky but not time consuming.
