It is already formatted for the switch, and yes like Nike and all other brands you are paying extra for the Nintendo name on the side.

Please try again later.These cards are rarely the cheapest option on the market and are really aimed at collectors who love the designs or those looking to give a special gift to a loved one to enjoy. There may be other retailers who sell them for less. The price will come down. That's just how these memory cards work, especially if licensed by Nintendo for Zelda. In a year or two, even higher capacity memory cards will make way for price reductions on this little card and then perhaps it'll be worth buying. Until then, early adopters with money to burn are likely to be the only ones who'll happily pay for a Zelda 1TB microSD card at $150 USD.
