Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it's just files on the drive. You can format the drive or delete the files.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes. I was making a recovery drive for a Chromebook using this drive and deleted all the software on the drive to have a drive that had nothing but the recovery software on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Plug it into your computer, right click on its icon and select 'format.' This will erase EVERYTHING from the drive!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe so, I have done this with other SanDisk drives in the past. Usually a re-format is all that is required. If this doesn't work try cleaning the drive with the Windows DiskPart command line utility.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can, I just did it with one of 2GB, because the service was no longer available, and all I could do with the U3 Software was the password tool, which was pretty much useless. All you need to do, is run the U3 Program (by inserting the USB, then opening the U3 Menu), go to settings/tools, and then select "Delete U3 Software" (or whatever related option you receive) I hope this helped!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The U3 launchpad has to be uninstalled. Please see the following link http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2550/kw/u3%20uninstall/r_id/101834
