Just to make it clear that you are asking for Sandisk Extreme (not "Extreme PLUS") against Sandisk Ultra. Neither one of those are USB, they are MicroSDXC Memory Cards. You can get a USB Adapter for them if you want. SanDisk Extreme is more powerful than the SanDisk Ultra. SanDisk Extreme is an upgrade from the SanDisk Ultra, Ultra is more affordable. Here's a breakdown and differences based on their Technical Specifications: Read/Write Speeds: Extreme - Max 90Mbps Ultra - Max 80Mbps UHS Class - Bus Speed: Extreme - UHS-I U3 Ultra - UHS-I U3 Speed Class: Extreme - C10 (min write speed of 10Mbps) Ultra - C10 (min write speed of 10Mbps) Video Speed Class: Extreme - V30 (sequential write speed of 30MB/s – this is enough to record 4K videos) Ultra - No Video Speed Class (able to record Full HD 1080p videos because the speed class (C10) allows for a write speed of 10MB/s) My Suggestions: If you don’t have a need for high resolution and high speeds, you can save some money by getting a SanDisk Ultra SD card. Also, when you’re buying a SanDisk Extreme, make sure that you do not confuse it with the SanDisk "Extreme PLUS" or SandDisk Extreme PRO. Both Extreme Plus and Extreme PRO are upgrade from Sandisk Extreme. Hope this helps. Have a blessed day!
