The extreme plus is for most slightly advanced consumers - the card writes and reads at a max of 80 Mb/s and the Extreme Pro is more for very advanced user that needs the ability to write and read up to 280 MB/s. There are 3 types of cards out there - SD, SD High Capacity (SDHC™), and SD Extended Capacity (SDXC™). So the first part was about speed and the 2nd part about the ability to hold data. If you are someone that takes tons of pictures at very fast rates in low light and you run out of space quickly I would suggest the Extreme Pro. But if you take a normal amount of pictures and not too many at once then the ExtremePlus is much cheaper and will be just as great for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Typically there are three types of cards. SD capacity cards which range from 2Gb to 128GB use as a default format of FAT16. SDHC capacity cards range from 4GB to 32GB use as a default format of FAT32. SDXC capacity cards range from 64GB to 2TB use as a default format of exFAT. HC meaning ‘High Capacity’ and XC meaning ‘Extended Capacity’. Note:- Laptop readers may NOT support SDXC cards. However SDXC cards will work in SDHC compatible readers but not SD readers, Assuming the computer supports exFAT format you are safe to buy either. Modern day cameras support both SDHC and SDXC cards. Hope this helps you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The difference between sdhc and sdxc is when the technology came out. Bcuz only goes up to 32gb. If your device you have is only hc then xc will not work in it, but if it is xc, then even an hc will work in it. This is a helpful article from Sandiskhttp://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2520/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNDIxMjAzNTQwL3NpZC9KZDJtcG9jbQ%3D%3D The Extreme Pro is the top lone out by Sandisk right now, with Extreme Plus being the second. There is a little difference in read/write speeds. Unless you are doing some serious high quality and fast-paced stuff go with Plus as there is not good enough justification to spend the extra money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.SDXC is just 64GB cards and higher now. a different format. the extreme plus max read speed is 80 MB/sec. and max write speed is 60MB/sec. the Extreme Pro has a max read of 90MB/sec. and a max write speed of 95MB/sec. this makes it faster but probably at a higher price. I have seen 2 varients of this card: A U1 and a U3 version. for 4k video you should have a U3 card. most cards nowadays can handle any photo shooting and 1080p. So with faster speeds just means accessing and tranferring files faster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The SDXC format allows for greater capacity than 32GB which is the limit for SDHC. You need to ensure that your device is compatible with the format. The Extreme Plus has faster read/write speeds than the Extreme. You can check out the secifications on Sandisk's site. http://www.sandisk.com/products/memory-cards/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.extreme plus has a slightly slower write time 80mb/second than extreme pro at 90mb/second the faster a card writes the less problems you run into and the extreme plus is cheaper, most media devices will be fine with a extreme plus
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The SDXC is better for Video recording ? Faster transfer performance
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My understanding the SDXC has a higher capacity and speed. The new codecs for video require SDXC, especially 4k video.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Difference is the write and or read speed ... In other words How fast the data transfers. .......With higher quality image or video (high pixel or 4K video) with new devices the look at the speed mb/s the higher they're expensive unless you can catch a good sale price. High end users more concerned than the average user regarding which SD card to get. Hope this helps
