QuestionHi, Is this compatible with Mac Mini w/ M1 chip? I plugged it in, and Time Machine said it would have to wipe the drive, because it is incompatible. Website said Mac compatible, but box says only with High Sierra or El Capitan. I am running Big Sur.

- Answer This Disk does come with TypeC to TypeC cable for newer computers as a standard but it also has an additional adapter in the box that one can put on one end of TypeC cable to let it connect to USB TypeA 3.1 ports.

- Answer Sorry, I don't own a laptop. However, this drive is not intended for permanent external mounting. I gets pretty warm after extended use. I only plug it in when I am working on music.
