Yes, although I wouldn't prefer it for this manner. Using a micro sd card with the adapter will slow down the process of recoding images directly to the card. Try getting a card that says something along the lines of "Class 10" or "MB/s" and make sure it's NOT a micro SD card, just a standard SD card. The higher the MB/s the faster your camera can upload to it and the quicker you can take images. You wont have to wait 3 seconds for the image to record to the card with faster speeds! Hope I helped :) - Joshua

The only possible restriction is if you would be shooting in RAW & JPEG and in continuous mode, like 'Sports' setting. The cameras processor may not be able to write the data fast enough to handle RAW & JPEG. RAW creates a very large size file used mostly to process images in programs like Lightroom. The 60D is rated for 5.3 images per second in continuous mode. In RAW, 18 mp per image times 5.3 = 95.4 mp per second is right at the edge of the cards capacity. If you use the JPEG only setting (approx. 10 mp per image), use the 'Large' setting, that will give you a very good size file to work with, and give very good results.
