Please allow us to inform you that all the SanDisk®️ portable SSDs are a plug and play devices. You can connect the drive to the computer and start transferring the data using drag and drop or copy/paste method. You do not require any special driver, firmware update or software to use the drive on computer.

QuestionThis is much smaller than an external hard drive (i.e. the spinning disk kind) and SanDisk says it has "Up to two-meter drop protection and IP55 water and dust resistance" so why does Best Buy recommend its bulky, zippered hard drive case?

- Answer Never mind this question. After a little bit of research, it looks like the issues with SanDisk's SSDs may in fact be a hardware issue and not something that can be resolved with a firmware update. There are several class action law suits currently in place against Western Digital, SanDisk's parent company, regarding this current line up of SSDs. Please disregard my previous question, I will not be trusting any of my data, new or repetitive to SanDisk's most recent line of SSDs.

Questionis this safe to reformat to NTFS? I did this and Cyberpunk 2077 crashed....not sure if it was the drive or the laptop?
