Never mind this question. After a little bit of research, it looks like the issues with SanDisk's SSDs may in fact be a hardware issue and not something that can be resolved with a firmware update. There are several class action law suits currently in place against Western Digital, SanDisk's parent company, regarding this current line up of SSDs. Please disregard my previous question, I will not be trusting any of my data, new or repetitive to SanDisk's most recent line of SSDs.
