• A:Answer It works through USB so no software is needed, Windows will find the right driver and install it automatically as long as you have internet. The brand doesn't matter, any CF in you camera will work with computer. All you to worry about is whether the computer recognizes the camera. I use the 30D and it was just plug and play, no software installation needed.
