Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Class ratings are mainly for SD cards, not flash drives. Since USB drives rely on USB 2.0 or 3.0 compatibility, that is what determines the speed at which a device and be read/written to. If you use a 3.0 device in a 2.0 port, it will be ultimately slower than you could achieve with a 3.0 port. Flash drives are not rated the same way. A Flash memory card (SD/Micro SD/etc...) doesn't have USB specs, so it does rely on the rating for how fast it might be. The faster the better in those cases, especially when doing high res video. Keep in mind, the device has to be able to support the faster speed (meaning the camera or device you've plugged the memory card into). It your old device only supports a slower speed, even the fastest card will only work at the slowest speed. Just because you have a key for a Lamborghini, it doesn't mean your VW bug will go as fast! :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.SD/microSD cards have speed "class" ratings, flash drives do NOT. This is a USB 3.0 drive. Which, fwiw, means its an "older"model, since the rating category "formerly known as" USB 3.0 was revised to "USB 3.1" (same specs, new name) some time ago...
