Yes this is a 2.5 inch form factor and that is what laptops use but you would need to either install a new operating system(i.e. Windows 10) or transfer the data for the old drive onto the new drive. Definitely recommend the trouble because SSD’s make such a huge performance improvement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will fit if it is the newer s55 series. As far as how much time / ease of installation if you have replaced laptop hard drives before it not that bad. If you haven't ever replaced a laptop drive I never recommend doing it your self. If that's the case I would have some that has done them for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/toshiba/satellite-s55-c5274#ssd it will fit. It's not plug and play. Drive needs to be formatted, doesn't matter if been use to replace the main drive or a secondary drive. Above all this extra work, its great drive. Faster boot up, shut down, and read & right. Will not be disappointed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it should just be plug and play. Toshiba S55-C5274 use the same size hard drives, so all you should need to do is find where the current hard drive is pull it out and then attach the cable where they are supposed to go and put the new one in. Just so you know the Toshiba S55-C5274 laptop uses ATA hard drives which are a little older than this one which is a SATA. There should be no difference in the types of cables both use and you should see a major performance buff from this hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it will fit into the laptop. Yes it’s easy to install after unscrewing a few screws. It’s not plug and play because you will need to install windows onto it for it to boot OR you can clone your current hard drive to that SSD which is fairly easy also which will take a few minutes to watch a YouTube video.
