Flash drives come formatted FAT32 but can be reformatted to NTFS. Some systems (for example my car) only recognize them when formatted FAT32.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To extend the Sandisk Team's answer. FAT32 doesn't support flash drives larger than 32GB, which is why exFAT was invented. If you need a FAT32 thumbdrive you will need to stay under this limit or it won't even give you the option in the format screen (it will just list exFAT or NTFS).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can format either to FAT32 or NYFS. to make a long explanation short: you’re usually able to store more files on an NTFS disk of the same size as a FAT32
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, please be informed that all the USB Flash Drives with equal to or less than 32GB capacity are formatted in the FAT32 File System and the USB Flash Drives equal to or greater than 64GB capacity are formatted in exFAT File System. They are not pre-formatted in the NTFS File System, however, you can manually format it in the NTFS File System using your computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.YOU CAN FORMAT IT AND MAKE IT EITHER ONE, IF YOU DONT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE YOU PROBABLY SHOULD NOT BE USING ONE
