I do believe it will work just fine. Especially if your just doing it as a hobby and not professionally. Itworked perfect for my mavik air 2. Depending on how you plan on using it, (fo resolutions like 4k and other very high quality stills and motions) they're better cards such as the Sandisk Extreme line. The go pro 9 supports the 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The transfer rate is respectable aswell. Being as it is a go pro and can get put through some roughness at times, its durability should keep up and keep your data safe if it should get dropped or whatever may happen. I'm no pro but hope this helps.
