The difference between the two is the size of TVs they can hold they MLF13 can hold 30 lbs more than the ALF218. The ALF218 has more extension and swivel. Unfortunately this mount will not work in a corner for you 65". It will not have enough extension to successfully mount your TV in the corner. The BXF230-G1, BXF130-B1, VLF220-B1 would all work well as corner mounts for your 65" TV.
