• A:Answer I have not noticed any additional battery drain. Microphones typically don't draw a ton of current to operate. I've had a Sony lavalier that operates off a hearing aid battery, and I only replace that battery about every 2-3 years. A light, for example - even an LED light for a short video - will drain much more battery than the microphone.

• A:Answer The Maximum Input SPL is105dB, here is the full spec: f=1kHz, THD<5% (105dB). Since it's a condenser microphone and not designed for high SPLs anything over 105dB will cause it to distort. Depending on your needs and how loud it's going to be, this might work for you or you might need some thing designed for higher SPLs.
