• You can play music from your phone on your car stereo through the transmitter, but it is not a Bluetooth connection to your vehicle. The Bluetooth will connect to your phone and transmit to a FM channel you choose.

• Yes, however it sounds like your electrical system is not working correctly. My advice is to go and have someone hook up machine to your car to see if there are error codes b4 making your purchase.
