• Not thru but if you put the thin plate on the outside of case, the magnet will be able to hold.

• It'll work as long as you're able to put the sticky magnet piece somewhere on the outside of your case. I would imagine that probably the large sticky metal piece would work for that phone the best but I am not familiar with the size of the iPhone x.
