Yes and no. Be sure to look at the manual for the S7. It shows where the wireless charging coil is located, and where the internal antenna is inside the phone. I attached the metal plate between those two areas on my Mophie case. On the other hand.... The back of my Samsung Galaxy phone is all metal and requires no plate. So perhaps both the charger and the antenna are not affected by the metal plate anyway. Regardless, the placement method I used works for me. I attached the bottom edge of the plate up about 1" from the bottom of the case, on the outside. The plate will work if it is inside of your case also - the magnet is strong enough. Before I attached it permanently I tried it inside the case without actually sticking it to anything. That allowed me to try different placement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It will work. I had to place my plate towards the bottom of my case so that it would work on the wireless charger. What I did first was place it in the case without sticking it to the case first, and then put the case on the phone and tested the wireless charger to make sure when I put the case on the phone with the wireless charger would work. Once I found the placement, I stuck the adhesive side to the inside of the case and then put the case on the phone. It works perfect with the wireless charger and it is strong enough to be held up on the mount even while driving in rough roads
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Any object place between a magnet and metal reduces its effectiveness to some degree. It's going to depend on how thick and what material your case is made of.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The magnet has not interfered with either of our phones. iPhone and an Android
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but be mindful of how thick the case is, if too thick the magnet can't do its job.
