yes. I actually put the magnet on the inner portion of the case . one strip on the top inner case to the right of the camera and one in the middle of the case.

Please try again later.Thicker phone cases or dual layered phone cases can interfere with the magnetic attraction between the MagicPlates and the magnets in the MagicMount, resulting in a weaker, less secure hold. We recommend testing the placement of the MagicPlates before actually adhering it to the phone or phone case. MagicPlate effectiveness can be tested by laying the MagicPlate in between the case and the phone, without exposing the adhesive on the MagicPlate. Once this step has been taken, place the phone on the mount. If the phone slides off the mount or appears to have a weak magnetic attraction, we would then recommend placing the MagicPlate on the outside of the case. We also offer a line of MagicMount Pro mobile device mounts which have 30% stronger magnets.
