Longer answer, if you have ethernet already then you don't need a modem you just need a router. If you have fiber, which it sounds like you do, you should be able to replace the router and Wi-Fi access point with your own. I had to do something similar just recently and all it required was setting up the correct PPPoE credentials, which you should be able to find in the original router, or frontier should be able to tell you. Other providers don't even require that much. Some don't require anything, and some just require a MAC address to be registered with them( easiest thing to do here is to just set the MAC address of your new router to be the same as the MAC address of the old router). If you look online someone has surely done the hard work to figure out the steps required for Frontier. Good luck!
