• A:Answer Yes, this will work fine. Not only did it work for me, but this was my 2nd hard drive. I plugged the older external hard drive into the second USB jack and it all works just perfect. Know that any external hard drive must be configured before it can be used. Once the console recognizes it, the console will automatically ask you if it can configure the hard drive. An easy process. Any time an external hard drive is larger than 4Tb, it will download the entire OS which will take about 500 gigabytes, but that will still leave you 7.5 terabytes of new memory space.

Q: QuestionI have this drive and experienced slow down to 2 MB/s on certain unfragmented files after around 500 GB was used on 8 TB partition. Is that because Win7 or old 2010 BIOS? Ended up making 4 partitions but not sure if will slow down again later.
