I bought this drive for the purpose of backing up photos. It worked well for me. I am not sure any drive can be called the best, but this does work.

Please try again later.how many photos and what are the file sizes I am a photographer and I use these drives all the time and I have 24mb files. and use a 1 tb remember to always have two copies of your photos stored . each on a different in case of a drive failure. and yes t5he drive and all drives will eventually fail
