• You would need to purchase a new internal hard drive because PlayStations are only designed to start up from internal hard drives and use external hard drives for storage.

• jon I would recommend a Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB SSD for a internal SSD before using a external drive. I put one in my PS4 Pro 11/19 and it made a huge difference in performance and it was extremely easy to do. I`m 61 and had no problems.
