Nope.. Just like every other mini, there is no way to play your carts.. I know Chinese dealers made an attachment so you could play your carts on the nes and snes mini but I'm not sure if anyone did one for the genesis mini..

If you’re wondering if you have to insert game cartridges like traditional sega then the answer is no. It comes preloaded with a bunch of games.

No, it has 42 games preloaded into it. There's a small space like a cartridge slot, but it's purely decorative and about 2.75 inches wide. My original Castlevania Bloodlines cartridge is significantly wider than the decorative slot. I've heard of people doing rom-hacks on the recent mini-consoles, but I don't know how to do any of that.
