QuestionI'm 6"3" and weigh 213 pounds. Am I going to be over the capacity limits when I add a backpack or package?

- Answer Hi, I am 6'1" and weigh about 210 lbs. I asked my wife to ride with me around the neighborhood once (she's 5' tall, and about 120 lbs.) and the eMoped went like nothing. I would not worry about the backpack weight unless you carry 200 lbs.

Questiondo these need registration? Where can you ride them? street? bike lanes? This is a great little moped but I spent a lot of time in CA and scooters were not allowed on the street, or in most bike lanes or sidewalks or on the boardwalk in Santa Monica

- Answer To: abby Here’s an answer (in order of questions asked) for California residents/visitors: [answers reworded from ncsl.org] 1. Registration only for motorized bikes/moped not under Class 1-3 electric bike classifications. 2. Depending on the county and other jurisdictions, the speed limit of the moped or scooter is one way to determine if it can be rode in the bike lane/sidewalk/beach, etc. There is a site (attached a screenshot for your viewing) where you can find the limits and restrictions on this E-bike ➡️Segway eMoped C80 (or for other types of electric scooters, bikes, etc.) In the case of the Segway eMoped C80, this e-bike is classified as “Class 2 ebike”. In California, these types do not require DMV registration for license plates.

Question1) What is the warranty? It just states "limited". 2) I want the front basket. On the Segway site it shows it comes with a frt basket but not on Best Buy site.

- Answer Their warranty is useless. They do not honor anything. Even simple customer service is nonexistent. They have people outsourced in other countries that never follow through with promises of help.

QuestionI see in the photos on the side it has Chinese writing and then I looked at the Segway website and it dose not have any Chinese writing so I was wondering dose it come in as all the writing is American or is it chinese.

- Answer This Chinese company bought out Segway in 2015. Avoid this at all cost as they no longer provide service, parts or warranty help.

QuestionI just got my bike. One key didn’t work to open the battery compartment how can I get a replacement key? I also can’t get the bike to turn on as of now the battery is Plugged into the bike and I’m charging it through the bike! I’m not sure why it won’t on

- Answer The same thing happened to me — except BOTH keys AND NFC cards did not work. I can only operate mine with the app. Segway customer service is useless. They say they are going to help, but do nothing. This is after 5 attempts to get assistance. DO NOT BUY A SEGWAY/NINEBOT. There are too many alternatives out there to take this expensive risk!

QuestionHow long can I drive on a fully charge battery? Or, how many miles can I drive on a fully charge battery without stopping?

- Answer 55 Miles without stopping. It definitely keeps it's word. I was out today driving throughout the city for the past 5 hours and the battery only dropped to 51% still reaching at top speed.

- Answer Hi Phil, No you don't need to a license not do you need to register the C80 scooter. You can also ride this C80 in the bicycle lane in NY. Thank you and we hope you enjoy your C80.

- Answer Contrary to the response, you can not control the light in the app. You can control the glowing rim of the handlebars, but the headlight and taillight come on automatically with a sensor, and you can't control them.

QuestionDoes this moped come with a title? Nyc police are taking everyones bikes and i feel like it’s unconstitutional. Technically this is a type c moped and legally needs to be registered now with the dmv. Dmv will most likely deny any moped without a title.

- Answer It does NOT come with a title. By it having bike pedals (making it a hybrid PEV) it's marketed as a Class 2 e-bike/e-moped. Placing it in the grey area. Check your local laws for more info. I'm in IL.

- Answer It comes fully assembled, just make sure you check the tire pressure. Manufacture PSI settings = 26 psi (front) 32 psi (rear)
