Q: QuestionI plan to keep the scooter outside, could the scooter depend on only the external battery instead of the internal battery. Or if the external can charge the internal battery. (I can't bring my scooter inside)

• A:Answer The batteries work together and cannot be selected. It is a total power package. Do not keep the scooter outside in cold weather, Cold weather and lithium ion batteries do like each other. Your useable range will drop like a rock in the cold weather. In cold weather, I noticed when the battery is below 50%, top speed drops off, torque (acceleration) is also noticeably reduced.

Q: QuestionWhy is the Segway Ninebot ES3 on bestbuy.com (SKU 6587867) listed with a 2 year parts and 2 year labor manufacturer warranty? I contacted Segway and they say that this scooter only has 1 year on the scooter body, and much less than a year on other parts.
