QuestionHow long is the expected lifespan of the D40x battery?

- Answer All our batteries are expected to complete 180 full charge cycles from empty. The D40 battery assembly has a one-year warranty. The best way to protect the battery is to charge the unit to 99% and then disconnect the charger from the Kickscooter. If the unit is not going to be used for a period of time, charge the unit to full, then store in a cool dry place and pull out every 3-4 weeks to charge up again. This will keep your battery happy and ready for new rides.

QuestionHow does it do on hills?

- Answer Not good. I just bought 2. One for me and one for my wife. We have a hill in front of our house and my wife couldn’t go up it. Grade is under 20 degrees. She weighs 200# and unit is rated up to 265# I called customer service and they said 20 degrees is max. I need to return these.

- Answer You can throttle the unit down by using the app. Connect to the unit via app, by search vehicle function, once on may screen, you can go to settings (top left options icon) and select speed settings to bring it down. Alternatively, you can double-click the on/off button to get the display to show ECO, which is the lowest setting.

- Answer Yes, but it is tight. You will need to install the seat as far back as possible. If you are relatively small it isn't a problem. The seat is not easily removable.

- Answer Yes, the rear tires go flat too often. I have had 5 flat rear tires in 3 months. At this point, it’s becoming a waste of my time and money with this purchase. The rear tire appears to be poorly made.
