The charger box is about 5 inches by 2 inches by 1.5 inches and has a power cord with a 120 volt wall outlet plug and a round plug the goes into the scoooter foot tread side on the right. When the charger is connected to the scooter the red tail light comes on, the charger light comes on, and the display between the handels shows the percent that the battery is currently charged and that charging is occurring. I commute 6 miles round trip to work. I see no need to charge this scooter at both ends of such a short trip, so only the one charger that came with the scooter is all I feel the need for.

Extra chargers are available from Segway Accessories or on-line. They even have “fast charger’s” available. Typical standard charge time is about 6 hours from near dead.

It will turn green when the unit is fully charged. charging brick is roughly 5x2x1 inches plus the wires.
