I have a Samsung smart TV and had the same problem but with this solution headphones work perfectly. First when regular TV was on I went to the menu and changed the sound to PCM. Then it was necessary to start Netflix and again to use the menu to go to sound settings and change once again to PCM. Merely changing the sound in TV mode was not sufficient. Now headphones work perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My headphones will not work when I switch my tv to Netflix
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have a Smart TV, go to SETTINGS, then to SOUND, then change Dolby Digitlal to PCM and audio will be available on Netflix and everything else even if your headphones are Digital Optical output. It works for me. Cheers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Here is what worked for me. I went to my regular TV settings and put the additional speaker settings to PCM. I turned in my headphones. Then I turned on my NETFLIX streaming and started a movie. Then I went back into the additional speaker settings again and put them on PCM. And wa- la the sound came thru the headphones! Maybe do the settings twice. When I went back in to the settings while Netflux was on, it was not on PCM, I had to put it back on to that. Debbie M.

If you want to be able to hear through headphones and let other people hear through the TV speakers, make sure you get the one with “audio pass through“. Model: AF-CH-BK. I paired it with blue tooth headphones I bought for my dad and it works great. My dad is hard of hearing so now my parents can both watch TV together, regular cable channels and streaming services like Netflix and Amazon without my mom getting blasted out of the room. Not one sales person or technician could figure this out for me. They said you can have sound through the headphones or the TV, not both. They were wrong. I would highly recommend this for people who have a person that is hard of hearing that they watch TV with :) I have a Samsung Smart TV. I used the Digital optical cable it comes with from the tv to the hub. Then go to settings on the tv, sound, expert settings and change the digital optical setting to PCM. Good luck.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My Sennheiser 175 RF wireless headphones work with the T.V. speakers and with Netflix, the second pair works with the T.V. but does not work with Netflix. We both have our headphones on watching T.V. together and they work. But when we go to watch Netflix only on pair works. What is the problem?
