The wand stays in with the vacuum and when you want to use an attachment you press the wand botton and it separates to use or you can use only the wand without tube to make it shorter. Vacuums really good though
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The wand is very easy to use. It unattaches in two places to create either a long or short wand. The dirt container also comes off so you can carry it while using the wand for high up or stairs. Very convenient and easy to take off and put back.

When cleaning above floor, you disconnect the handle from the wand. For a longer reach, you can leave the handle connected to the wand, and then disconnect the wand from the rest of the vacuum. With this being said, the attachments can connect to either the end of the wand or the handle. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team
