• I use this vacuum on all of my floors and it works great! I have wood laminate floors throughout my house, carpet in the bedrooms and tile in the bath and laundry rooms. I have no problems with scratching or marking. This vacuum is great. I also have 2 100 lb dogs and it cleans beautifully. Excellent product.

• YES!! The DuoClean means that it has two brushes, One brush looks like a paint roller and then a separate carpet agitator brush. Mine works great on our laminate flooring! The vacuum has a setting for carpet or wood flooring, all with a simple push of a button.

• This version has a soft roll in front. you can switch from carpet to hardwoods. We still mostly sweep as we have too many transitions and corners.
