• See the instruction manual - the cover comes off easily [push tabs] and the roller lifts right out.

• Remove the soft roller from the vacuum using the pull tab and clean only with plain water. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.

• You can lift off the lid to the roller area to get access to the brush and soft rollers for cleaning them. You also can pull out the soft roller and clean it by just brushing it off or rinsing it in water (dry it thoroughly before reinserting it).

• Hi Dee60! This vacuum has an easily detachable cover for the roller garage. You can press the two release buttons on the motor head, and the cover for the roller garage will pop right off. From there you can insert scissors into the groove on the roller to easily cut any wrapped up hair or threads on the main roller and remove the front soft brush roller and rinse it with plain water. If you end up washing the front soft brush roller, be sure to wait 24 hours for it to dry before reassembling your vaccum.

• The front roller pops right out after opening the maintenance door, and it's washable. The second brush is attached, but is very easily accessed after opening the maintenance door on top of the power head.
